One of the most asked for flies in our shop, during the warm months, is the Sneaky Pete. In the heart of warmwater fly fishing the Sneaky Pete is king when it comes to catching Bluegill, Redear, Pumpkinseed, Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Rock Bass, and Crappie. These little flies can be made in all sorts of colors, styles and sizes. They are easy to tie, durable and worth having in any fly box if you are casting to warmwater species. Often, when other flies fail the Sneaky Pete can save the day.
We will be tying three variations of the Sneaky Pete in this class. The old standby hard bodied popper (including painting and finishing with epoxy), a quick foam version and a fun variation using foam discs. If you like casting to panfish, like tying topwater flies and like catching fish, do not pass up this class.
