Synopsis of Class
|
There are a great many flies that use Epoxy as a material in
the fly. Some use it to re-enforce parts of the fly.
Some as a means of bulking up the fly and still others as a
part of the fly design. Whatever the reasons, Epoxy is a
great material to using in fly tying. Many people have a
hard time using Epoxy because it can be difficult getting
the correct mix and dealing with the "working time" of the
material. In this class we will be working with a couple of
types of epoxy. Leaning how to get the right mixture and how
to deal with the working time to get great looking flies.
This class is as much about learning a new material as
it is new fly patterns. There are three different patterns
you will tie to help you lean how to use Epoxy. Two
warmwater patterns and one saltwater pattern. The saltwater
pattern can be changed to represent warmwater species and
can be just as effective for the fish you catching your
favorite waters.
For this class you will tie the following flies.
