Synopsis of Class
|
|
One of the major attractions to fly fishing is seeing a fish
rise to the surface and take your fly. If you are
lucky enough to fish for smallmouth, largemouth, pike,
muskie, tarpon, snook or any other species that love big
flies on the surface than you know what it is like to cast
out a popper and see it slammed by a big fish. Popper
flies are fun to cast and fish but but can be a hassle to
make if you like to make your own. You can file and
form your own cork popper heads if you like. These
days you can also by pre-formed popper heads made of cork or
foam.

If you like to make your own popper head out of foam you
know how difficult it is to work with foam and get
consistent results. Thankfully, Gary Kreb has put a
lot of energy into solving this problem for you. Over
the past two years he has developed a set up cutting jigs
for cylinder foam that can quickly and easily produce a
variety of heads for poppers.
Gary will be doing a special tying class on the 21st of
February to show people how to use these amazing jigs.
This is a special class and will be a FOUR hour class.
All materials will be provided as well as jigs for use in
the class. This class is NOT for beginners, experience
is required. Please note that this class is $25.00 and
not the usually $10.00.
Here are some of the flies you will be tying,
