Come with FlyMasters to Alaska in 2010

(03-08-2010) If you would like to visit Alaska this year but don't have
thousands of dollars to spend you need to head to
Wilderness
Place. Just North of Anchorage you can book a trip
for one day or for ten; whatever you need. As luck would
have it a representative from Wilderness place will be in
the shop all day March 16th to answer questions and help you
set up your Alaska Adventure. Take a look at some
photos from this past season and then stop by the shop to
meet Jason.

Fly Fishing will be in the shop all day talking about
the fantastic fly fishing opportunities on Lake St. Clair.
This fishery has been booming lately with White Bass,
smallmouth and largemouth bass and musky!
Captain Brian has been guiding on Lake St. Clair since 1992
and has developed the "St. Clair Slam". This is an
excellent opportunity for you to come out and find out about
some of the great fly fishing that is not far away or at
least expand your knowledge for the waters you fish all the
time. |

Fort Wayne Show This Weekend
(03-08-2010) If you were unable to attend the Boat,
Sport and Travel show in Indy this past week you still an
have an opportunity to attend another great outdoor sports
show in Fort Wayne. Come up to Fort Wayne
this weekend (March 12th - 14th) and visit us at the
Outdoor Sports, Lake and Cabin show. This is a
three day show for anyone who loves anything having to do
with the great outdoors. FlyMasters will be a featured
attraction and doing casting lessons all day everyday in a
1,000 square foot casting pond for anyone wanting to learn
how to fly fish. Soon the weather will be warm and
everyone will be out fishing but that won't be for another
few weeks. Satisfy your outdoor fix by coming to this
show. You won't regret it. |

Fishing and Photography with Barry and Cathy Beck
 (03-02-2010)
FlyMasters and Roberts Camera will be bringing
 a real treat
to Indianapolis in April for fly fishing and photography
enthusiasts.
Barry and Cathy
Beck, well known for they
fly fishing skills and abilities behind the lens, will be in
town for a fly fishing and photography clinic on April 10th.
There will be fly fishing in the morning and
photography
 in the afternoon. Keep an eye on
our web site for more details in the next week or so.
There will be details about the event, the times and the cost
as well as more information about Berry and Cathy Beck.
If you are only going to attend one clinic this year to improve
your fly fishing this would be the one! |

Two Days of Steelhead - $600.00

Michigan Steelhead in April
In April
FlyMasters will be hosting a
trip to fish for steelhead on the Pere Marquette for two
day. Now is a great time to plan your first outing of
2010. The Steelhead fishing in Michigan has been very
good the past few years, especially in the spring. With
recent management changes on the Pere Marquette the fishing
should be only getting better. Check out our
trip page for all
the details. I talked with the guides this past weekend and
the fishing is already starting to pick up. Nice eight
to ten pound steelhead caught this past weekend!

Boat, Sport and Travel Show Update

Boat, Sport and Travel show is going great! We have had many
visitors and lots of people interested in fly
fishing. From Gary Krebs and Indigo Guide
Service doing tying demonstrations, Fox Statler's
"It's All Fly fishing" seminars, Blackrock
tackles great new products to all the casting
lessons behind the cabin we are having a great
time at the show. Take a look for

Hard to believe it but summer will be here soon. One of our
best trips for 2010 is to
Beaver Island in
Lake Michigan for Great Lakes Carp. The common carp
has a great deal to offer the fly rod enthusiast.
Targeted sight fishing, spooky behavior and blistering runs
make for some of the most fun you will ever have freshwater

20 in 2010
(03-08-2010) FlyMasters
of Indianapolis will be turning twenty years old in 2010 and
what a fun twenty years it has been. In honor of this
milestone we will be hosting or be a part of a whole slew if
events, shows and activities throughout the year.
Some of you may have already been by for some of them but
don't dismay, there is plenty of fun on the horizon.
In this section of our web site you will find a listing of
the events we have planned and any last minute changes.
Always check here in case any specifics change and to see
what we have added. Then hop in the car and head to
the shop to celebrate twenty years.

2010 Dates for Our Fly Fishing School

We have had many people stop by FlyMasters in the last couple of months interested
in leaning how to fly fish. Even though it may seem a bit early, with snow on the ground, we have set some dates for the
first phase of our Fly Fishing School.
The first phase of our school is in the shop so we do not need to be concerned about the weather.
By the time most people can fit in the first meeting for phase II the weather starts to break
and sunny warm afternoons can be had at the pond. The following are the list of upcoming dates for
Phase I.
